LEVON ARONIAN TO COMPETE WITH DANIEL STELLWAGEN
After the two rounds of “Corus Chess 2009” chess championship launched in Wijk aan Zee, Netherlands Armenian GM, golden medal holder of World Olympic Games Levon Aronian has 1 point on his actives.
Aronian’s first rival was Chinese Wang Yue and the game ended in draw. Azeri Radjabov was the second rival.
Another Armenian GM Sergey Movsisyan who presents Slovakia in the championship, and Sergey Karjakin and Jan Smeets have 1.5 points each and share 1-3 horizontals.
Note that Levon Aronian is the acting champion of the championship.
Today Aronian will have a game with Daniel Stellwagen from the Netherlands.
