2007-2008 CHESS YEAR CONCLUDED
Today the Chess Federation of Armenia concluded the year presenting their successes and defeats. Before starting the conference, they commemorated Karen Asirian’s memory. 129 chess deputies from 137 attended the conference. Smbat Lputian, the Vice President of the federation made an opening speech.
The Vice President notified all the successful games and those which the group lost. It is important to decentralize chess life from the capital city to the communities, said the Vice President.
In 2007-08, 9 international competitions, trainings for the chess players and their trainers have been organized.
