ADC attracts new investment and partnership by inviting leading Dubai-based Investment Firm Delta Partners to Armenia
ADC is proud to announce that Delta Partners, an integrated management advisory and investment firm specialized in the Telecoms, Media and Technology (TMT) sector, joins ADC in further establishing the Company and the Armenian telecommunications sector. Delta Partners is investing USD$6 million in ADC with the aim to develop the company’s service portfolio, as well as, support expansion plans geographically.
Delta Partners’ investment and expertise will enable ADC to strengthen its presence in the residential market with an integrated offer. Expansion will take place both in Yerevan and other cities in the north of the country. Networking and services will be extended based on market demand and users acceptance of the new offers made.
ADC will continue to extend and operate a state-of-the-art fibre-optic network with IP/MPLS switching technology and virtually unlimited capacity to serve the needs of the Armenian market place. The enlarged team, with Delta Partners on board, will ensure that ADC stays in the forefront and retains leadership within the market segments the company targets.
The inclusion of Delta Partners as a shareholder in ADC strengthens the company’s ability to respond quickly to market needs for wider network coverage and new services introduction. Expansion can take place whilst ensuring premium quality on all parts of operations,” said Harald Grytten CEO of Armenian Datacom Company.
"Our integrated business model allows us, at every stage of the investment cycle, to provide a hands-on approach focused on specialization and experience,” said Kristoff Puelinckx, Managing Partner, Delta Partners. “Armenia’s continued growth as an economy, allows telecommunications operators such as ADC to cater to the needs of the marketplace. We are committed to working closely with ADC to provide strategic advise in order to further establish the infrastructure of the Armenian telecommunications market and develop new services that will capture the significant opportunities that lie ahead.”
The investment into ADC falls in line with Delta Partners Telecom Fund, a private equity fund focused on investing in telecom, media and technology (TMT) companies. Through Delta Partners private equity business, the Company aims to provide superior returns to both investors in the Fund and shareholders in the various portfolio companies. Delta Partners investment into ADC represents the Company's fourth investment.
"Armenian Datacom Company" CJSC is an Armenian-Norwegian joint venture formed in April 2006. The company operates a large fibre-optic network in the Armenian capital, Yerevan, with a significant business subscriber portfolio. ADC’s network is based on state-of-the-art IP/MPLS technology with total infrastructure length exceeding 400km. ADC’s commercial proposition is to satisfy the continuously rising demand for electronic communication services and to create modern networking solutions of tomorrow.
The company’s investment strategy is to continuously develop and extend services in line with market demand. An expansionist policy is followed, and the network continues to be extended both geographically and in terms of its service portfolio capabilities.
