CHARLES AZNAVOUR REJECTED TO BECOME AMBASSADOR OF ARMENIA TO SWITZERLAND
French Armenian famous singer Charles Aznavour rejected the proposal to become Ambassador of Armenia to Switzerland. “I am a free person,” said the singer, reports Spanish El Pais.
In his interview to the newspaper Aznavour said: “The President of Armenia offered me to become the Ambassador of Armenia to Geneva. I felt very proud and happy that day. But the other day I thought more carefully and under stood that I would lose my free life if I accepted the offer. If the Government of Armenia makes a decision I dislike, I will feel bad,” said Aznavour.
In December of the previous year Charles Aznavour has been granted citizenship of Armenia. He is a National Hero of Armenia also.
