UEFA TO REPORT NEW RESULTS ABOUT LATVIA-ARMENIA
The official web site of UEFA reports new details about Latvia-Armenia game. But, first, it is important to mention that the trainer of the National Football Team of Armenia Jan Paulsen says that he is satisfied with his footballers, but he is discontent of the final score as he thinks that Armenian footballers could win the game. The Danish trainer was made to do some changes because two of his team were lacking. Alexander Starkov, the trainer of the Latvian team did not make radical changes.
Starkov’s strategy is quite acceptable, because his team is going to meet with Luxembourg team where they plan to score 6 points. Most probably Starkov will present his team in the basic format which we have seen during the meeting with our national team. But still that basic format could not create difficult situations for our team which was almost perfect.
According to UEFA reporter in the first part of the game the efforts were equal. Possibly Latvian team had a little more privilege which disappeared in the second part. Paulsen’s footballers were more organized and attentive.
The Secretary General of Latvian football federation Yanis Mejeckis said: “The result is fair enough. In the first part of the meeting we could kick a goal and in the second one the Armenians,” he said.
Andrey Roubin from Latvia team who plays in Azerbaijani “Inter” gave an interview to apasport.az and said: “I think that Azerbaijani team is stronger that Armenian team. We could win if we used goal opportunities. Unfortunately, we failed,” he said.
It is quite obvious that the footballer tries to adulate the Azeri being afraid not to turn something round againt him.
