LINARES TOURNAMENT: FESTIVAL OF DRAWS
The eleventh round of Linares Tournament finished. Armenian GM Levon Aronian played with black figures with Leinier Dominguez. After an uneasy struggle the match ended in draw.
Grishchuk-Radjabov, Ivanchuk-Carlsen, Wang-Yue-Anand parties also ended in draw. Hence, all the participants gained half points remaining in their positions.
Russian Alexander Grishchuk has 7 points and leads the tournament. Vassily Ivanchuk has 6 points and occupies the second horizontal, 3-5 horizontals are shared by Levon Aronian, Magnus Carlsen and Wishvanathan Anand.
Three more rounds remain and the chess players will have 4 March breaking day. In the 12th round Levon Aronian’s rival is going to be Wang Yue.
