51 COUNTRIES SUBMITTED APPLICATIONS TO PARTICIPATE IN WORLD YOUTH BOXING CHAMPIONSHIP
Applications for the participation to the World Youth Boxing Championship to be conducted in Yerevan are received from 51 countries, Armenian Boxing Federation press service reports. The last three countries to submit applications are Ghana (6 sportsmen), Montenegro (9 sportsmen) and Venezuela (1 sportsman).
Note that the deadline to submit the applications was fixed on 23 April, but because of the world financial crisis and sports events many countries did not manage to meet the deadline. Currently late applications are also welcome, the Armenian Boxing Federation says.
