EUROVISION 2009 QUALIFIERS DEFINED
The Second Semi-Final of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest took place in the Olimpiyskiy Arena in Moscow. The remaining ten places available in the Final have now been decided during the nail biting show. Nine qualifying countries were picked by televoting, and a tenth finalist was selected by the national juries all over Europe. The qualifiers of the second semi final are Azerbaijan, Croatia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Albania, Moldova, Denmark, Estonia, Norway, and Greece.
Remind that during the first semi final the following countries have been picked to final – Turkey, Portugal, Malta, Romania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Sweden, Israel, Finland and Iceland and Armenia. The countries of so-called Great Four will perform in the final – Spain, Germany, France and Great Britain. Russia is in the final because it’s the winning country.
The winner of Eurovision 2009 will be defined on 16 May by sms voting and jury’s evaluations.
