BAKO SAHAKYAN HOSTED WRITERS
On 11 June President of the Nagorno Karabagh Republic Bako Sahakyan received some members of the NKR Union of Writers led by the organization’s head Vardan Hakobyan, NKR President’s Cabinet reports.
Issues related to cultural life in the country and activities of the writer’s union were discussed at the meeting.
The President noted that everything possible will be done to ameliorate working conditions of the union.
The Head of the State considered important the participation of writers and workers of culture in the life of the republic underlining that they have to pay special attention to deepening ties with the public at large, especially in the regions.
The President touched upon the Eghishe award too, noting that there is a need for qualitative changes, which would make this award an important phenomenon of Pan-Armenian nature.
