Schools close by swine flu in Hong Kong
Another Hong Kong high school is closing for two weeks after a student fell ill with swine flu.
The government confirmed 12 new infections late Monday, including the student. The territory's total is now 104.
A government statement says health officials have yet to determine how the 15-year-old contracted the flu, since she has not traveled overseas recently.
Tang Shiu Kin Victoria Government Secondary School is the second high school in Hong Kong to close for the flu. All primary schools and kindergartens have already suspended classes for two weeks.
Last week, authorities ordered all primary schools in the city to be closed for two weeks after the first cluster of local swine flu cases was found.
When the city discovered its first case, at the start of last month, it started a week-long quarantine of around 300 guests and staff at a hotel where the carrier had briefly stayed.
The swine flu virus, which was first detected in Mexico in April, has so far infected almost 30,000 people in 74 countries, according to the latest WHO figures, with 145 people having died.
