UNESCO REPORTS MTSKHETI CHURCHES UNDER THREAT
According to UNESCO council decision the historic monuments of Georgian former capital Mtskheti are included in UNESCO world heritage list of threatened objects, foreign media reports referring to UNESCO.
Mtskheti historic churches are exclusive examples of Caucasian architecture of middle ages. UNESCO encouraged Georgian authorities to draft a project of restoring the monuments.
It’s worth mentioning that it’s the third monument to be included in the list of monuments under threat during Seville, Spain summit.
