“MEGAPHONE” INTENDED TO BUY RIVAL’S SHARES
“Megaphone” Company is intended to buy 5% of “Vimpelcom” (Beeline brand) shares. “Vimpelcom” is a competitor of “Megaphone” in Russian cellular communication and member of the so-called “Great three”. According to Russian media the package of that share costs 600 million USD in the market.
On 1 July “Megaphone” managerial board had that issue in their agenda but not definite decision was made in this respect.
Note that the biggest shareholder of “Megaphone” is TeliaSonera Sweden cellular operator.
