SWINE FLU: CHINESE STUDENTS CONTRACTED A/H1N1 INFLUENZA
More Chinese students have been confirmed as having contracted A/H1N1 influenza as classes resume after the summer break, Chinese media reports.
The number of patients at a southwest China civil aviation college confirmed as having contracted A/H1N1 influenza rose to 35.
Health authorities have completed medical examination of 1,075 students and 126 teaching staff on the Qingyang campus in Chengdu City, capital of Sichuan Province.
All 35 patients were in stable condition, according to the Chengdu Infectious Disease Hospital where they were being treated.
The college called off the military training and quarantined those who had close contact with confirmed infection cases.
