“AZD” PRODUCTION: SERIES OF FILMS ABOUT ARMENIA TO BE PRODUCED
“AZD” production is determined to present Armenia’s historical lands in a film making series of films about historical Armenia, the founder of “AZD” production, producer and film maker Hayk Harutyunyan told Panorama.am.
Currently the activities filming “Djavakhq’s” history is to be finished. It is supposed that the film will be ready in January. At the same time, another film about Armenia, this is called similarly – “Armenia”, is already shooted and the final round is being worked on.
“The latter is a tourist film. We have already filmed “Western Armenia” and “Kharabakh” movies. We are going to shoot another film about Hemshin Armenians. To conclude, we are going to present Armenian land generally. We have a group in Russia filming Russian Armenians,” H. Harutyunyan said.
According to the founder of the production, they have one message in their activities – to introduce Armenia and Armenians to those “who do not have any idea about Armenia and who Armenians are.” H. Harutyunyan says he is sure there are many such people who don’t know anything about Armenia. Another mission of the production is to show Armenian young people “in emotional and comprehensive way” historical Armenian lands.
Hayk Harutyunyan said that they think to create a huge “canvas” of Armenia. Note that “AZD” production was founded in 1997. It has filmed more than 50 movies. Films about historical Armenia are being shooted in the last three years. Some films are already produced, like, “Welcome Karabakh”, “Western Armenia”, “Mystery of Noah’s Ark” and films about Cilicia.
