Komitas’ 140th jubilee marked in France
By the initiative of Armenian Culture Ministry and the support of French Ministry of Culture and Armenian Embassy to France Komitas’ 140th jubilee has been marked from 13 to 18 October in France, Armenian Culture Ministry reports.
In order to attend the event Armenian ministerial delegation chaired by Minister Hasmik Poghosyan traveled to France. It is reported that Mrs. Poghosyan had meeting with her French counterpart Mr. Frederic Miteran.
Taking into account that in 2012 Armenia will mark 500 jubilee of its print books, Mrs. Poghosyan expressed her hope that the French Minister would contribute to recognize Yerevan international capital of books in UNESCO.
