Swine flu related death recorded in Turkey
News on Saturday of the first swine flu-related death in Turkey caused alarm around the country, leaving many people concerned about what to do and what comes next, Turkish media reports.
The Turkish Health Ministry last week confirmed the first case of person-to-person transmission of the H1N1 virus in the country, making it the first confirmed infection of someone who has not traveled abroad.
The ministry also warns people to protect themselves and pay attention to symptoms of the disease. The report on the ministry’s Web site stated that 960 people were treated for swine flu in Turkey as of Saturday.
