In Round 7 of the 17th European Team Championship due in Novi Sad, Armenian team played against Azerbaijan. Levon Aronian ended in draw with Teimour Radjabov. Vladimir Akopian and Tigran L. Petrosian also played to draw with Vugar Gashimov and Shakhriyar Mamedyarov respectively.

Gabriel Sargsian won against Gadir Guseinov.

After Round 7 Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan have taken the lead with 11 points. Ukraine, Poland and the Netherlands follow with 10 points. Hungary, Spain, Georgia, Switzerland and Israel rank 7-11 with 9 points.

In Round 8 Armenia will compete with Russia. Azerbaijan’s rival is Poland.
