Penderecki’s granny – Armenian, Armenian musicians – raw; Armenian audience - open
In the framework of 10th international festival, it’s the second time “Krzysztof Penderecki’s days in Armenia” are being held. In this regard “21st perspectives” held a news conference today.
Stepan Rostomyan, the organizer of the festival compared Polish composer with Picasso, as like Picasso, the composer managed to create new directions in music.
Note that the famous composer has Armenians roots – his grandmother was an Armenian deprived from her roots in Spahan.
The Polish composer assessed the talent of Armenian musicians, but he has also pointed that they are not so well experienced in performing modern pieces of music.
Regarding the local audience, the composer said that they are open and friendly.
