Armenia’s Sargsyan address to Abdullah Gul
Armenia’s Serzh Sargsyan released address to his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul, President’s Administration reported. Find the content of the message below.
”Your Excellency, traveling through Turkish air space, I’d like to send my greetings to You and our neighbor Turkish people. Our initiative to normalize Armenian-Turkish ties is deeply targeted by the international community. The current situation is indeed a historic one and both the entire world and we also are quite conscious of that. The efforts of regional countries to make our bilateral ties advanced are invaluable. I am sure we wouldn’t have any advancement without their intermediation. At the same time, I think that even if our relative countries are interested in the normalization of our ties they aren’t so powerful to make what our nations are able to. Mister President, I think You’ll agree that the main role to break the stereotypes between Armenian and Turkish people, to found an atmosphere of mutual trust belong to the authorities. We can get our target only due to the belief, decisiveness and adherence. Otherwise, when activities contradict the words, atmosphere of mistrust and skepticism is created giving free path to powers against those processes. We should acknowledge that time doesn’t contribute to the processes but devoids of meaning. If we have been managing to make our bilateral communication more visible and sensible it’s high time to demonstrate decisiveness to make a step forward to inherit our future generations stable and secure region. Please, Your Excellency, accept my deep respects.”
It’s worth reminding Armenia’s Serzh Sargsyan is paying three-day visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
