Merzlyakov Russia’s Ambassador to Estonia?: no official reports so far
Recent media reports informed the OSCE MG Russian C-Chair Yuri Merzlyakov may be appointed Russia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Estonia.
Panorama.am tried to contact Merzlyakov to inquire over the information spread personally, though, the Co-Chair hurried to respond before he was addressed the question he didn’t answer any inquiries on cell phone and asked to dial his office number.
To our remark the office phone number cannot be reached, he replied: “What then?”
Russia’s Ambassador-in-Office to Estonia Nikolay Uspenski’s mission is due to end this year. Anyway, Russian authorities have not commented on the information yet.
According to other reports, Igor Popov will assume as the OSCE MG Russian Co-Chair.
