Ankara anticipates it possible that the US House of Representatives may adopt the resolution on Armenian Genocide on 4 March, CNN Turk reported.
Though two Turkish delegations left for Washington, and Turkish Foreign Ministry has officially declared that they hope US Congress won’t hail the Armenian Genocide resolution, US seems to be decisive this year.
“Another reason is that Jewish lobby doesn’t support Turkey after the crisis with Israel. If Turkish-Israeli ties were not changed Jewish lobby wouldn’t allow that sort of discussions,” CNN Turk stated.
But yet the paper writes that some issues are still victory cards for Turkey, including cooperation with Afghanistan, US troops to leave Iraq through Turkey, dialogue with Iran.
Another date which is deeply alarming for Turkey is April 24, when the world will be attentive to hear Obama use Genocide word.
