Interpol declares four Azerbaijani citizens wanted for links with Al Qaeda
Four Azerbaijani citizens were included in the Interpol wanted list for their links with different terrorist organizations, particularly Al Qaeda, said the government of Azerbaijan in its report on national security submitted to the parliament, according to Vesti.az.
It said Azerbaijan conducted serious operational measures combating terrorism, separatism and religious extremism.
A group of radical vahhabits, who left for Vaziristan province of Pakistan to participate in Al Qaeda and Taliban trainings, was identified and 18 members of the group, participants in terrorist acts in Pakistan, Afghanistan and a number of other states, have been already detained, the report reads further.
