President Sargsyan to Deep Purple musicians: You will receive even warmer welcome in Armenia
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan today received Ian Gillan and John Dee of the world-famous Deep Purple rock band, President’s press office reported.
President Sargsyan welcomed the visit of the renowned musicians to Armenia saying it is a great event in the life of our music-loving society.

We are a thankful nation and remember with gratitude that you were with us after the devastating earthquake of 1988,” President said.
“You did the hard work brilliantly,” President Sargsyan highlighted, thanking the musicians for uniting the musicians worldwide to support Armenia at hard times.
“We are glad and happy to have managed to make our modest contribution,” the guests said.
Referring to the concerts in Armenia, Ian Gillan and John Dee said they are impressed by the performance of the Armenian State Philharmonic Orchestra and highlighted they were surprised to see the representatives of the senior and younger generations enjoying the music with equal inspiration.
Armenia’s President and the eminent musicians talked about the works done within in the framework of the “Rock Helps Armenia” program.
