Jivan Gasparyan in Eurovision 2010?
The world famous duduk player, musician Jivan Gasparyan had long ago been offered to participate in 2010 Eurovision Song Contest together with Eva Rivas, representing Armenia, though the musician may not, due to some technical problems.
“It’s been long since I was offered it, but I have a concert with the Symphonic Orchestra in Italy May 22. I signed a contract with them a year ago and this means I can’t go. Our representatives should be in Norway May 21, if they agree that I join them after my concert, I will go, certainly, this is a matter of Armenia’s honor,’ J. Gasparyan said.
At the same time, he said this is a pioneer contest since the jury is not professional, though, he is ready to go there and play for Armenia’s honor.
2010 Eurovision Song Contest is due May 25-29 in Oslo, Norway. Eva Rivas will represent Armenia with the song “Apricot Stone”.
