'Aquatuor' and 'Pre-art' Swiss bands to perfom works of Armenian and foreign composers
In association with the Armenian Culture Ministry, Perspective XXI - 11-th music international festival is due to present a special program CONVERGENCE with the Swiss bands Aquatuor and Pre-art in Komitas Chamber Music Hall, Yerevan, April 2, president and art director of the festival, composer Stepan Rostomyan told reporters today.
The works of composers from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Croatia, Kosovo, Latvia, Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey and Uzbekistan will be performed at the concert.
He said, the concert program will be hosted by Zurich and Geneva, Switzerland.
According to S. Rostomyan, Pre-art cooperates with young composers to help them achieve international recognition. Four years ago it initiated Pre-art contest for young composers. Composers from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Croatia, Kosovo, Latvia, Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey and Uzbekistan received awards.
The program aims at unifying nations through art, S. Rostomyan said.
Spring session of Perspective XXI - 11-th music international festival got under way March 4 and is due until May 25.
