Davutoglu: Turkish people can meet and talk with Armenians anywhere
Turkey’s Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu referred to the Armenian-Turkish relations at a meeting with reporters. Davutoglu said his recent telconversation with the US State Secretary Hillary Clinton was held in a warm and constructive atmosphere, Zaman reported.
“Clinton referred to Armenia-Turkey normalization process, as well as the current developments of Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict. I had opportunity to convey Turkey’s views, expectations and concerns over the issue to the State Secretary,” Davutoglu said.
FM also said Ankara is intent to intensify efforts to maintain multilateral cooperation with the US, continue the Armenian-Turkish reconciliation process and establish peace and stability in the Caucasus.
Asked whether Erdogan will have a meeting with the Armenian Diaspora representatives in Washington, Davutoglu said he will answer the inquiry as soon as the final call on attending the nuclear summit is announced.
“Turkish people can meet and talk with Armenians anywhere, out of Armenia-Turkey normalization process as well,” Davutoglu said signifying their contacts with Diaspora.
