5 soldiers killed in Azerbaijan accident
Azerbaijani State Border Service car carrying eighteen soldiers turned over and fell into the gorge in the Guneshli village on the 45 km of the Lerik-Lankaran highway, Trend News reported. The car was carrying demobilized soldiers. Interfax reported 4 dead and 12 injured.
According to Trend News, 14 were injured in the accident, including a soldier Elchin Gurbanov, who died on Sunday at a military hospital of the city of Lankaran, thus bringing the death toll to 5.
Lankaran Prosecutor’s office issued the names of the dead soldiers: Elchin Gurbanov, Samir Khalilov, Perviz Ahmedov, Elnur Farajev, .Fuad Nasirov.
Criminal case has been launched on the incident, investigation is underway.
