IMF forecasts 1,8 percent GDP growth in Armenia in 2010
Armenia will register 1,8 percent GDP growth in 2010, while inflation is expected to be 6,2 percent, Guillermo Tolosa, IMF Resident Representative in Armenia, told reporters in Yerevan today.
“While recovering from the world crisis, the spheres anyhow linked with the world economy, will develop more intensively,” the IMF Representative said explaining his forecast over GDP growth. The other spheres, the sphere of reconstruction particularly, will show slower tendencies of recovery.
Mr. Tolosa said the IMF mission is due to arrive in Armenia in May and some of the forecasted macroeconomic indices may change as a result of the visit.
