Davutoglu to discuss Washington meetings with Aliyev
Turkey’s FM Ahmet Davutoglu is going to have a comprehensive discussion with Azerbaijan’s Aliyev over Washington meetings and further steps, CNNTurk reported. According to Turkish mass media Davutoglu told U.S. State Secretary Mrs. Hillary Clinton about his further trip to Azerbaijan.
“We signify the resolution of Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict. We want peace and stability in Caucasus. That very issues have been discussed by our PM and Russia’s Medvedev also,” Turkish FM said, adding: “We’re going to discuss Washington meetings and our further steps with Azerbaijan’s Aliyev.”
Davutoglu underscored Ankara’s concerns about Azerbaijan not attending Washington summit, and said they’ve been trying to send message to American authorities to invite Azerbaijan also, but everything was in vain.
It’s worth reminding that Turkish FM told Mrs. Hillary Clinton that: “we’re decisive to normalize ties with Armenia. We’ve claimed it to both Obama and Sargsyan, as well as to Nalbandyan and Clinton during our meetings.”
