"Sargsyan against Azerbaijan": hearings on September 15
On September 15, the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) will hold hearings on the claim filed by the Armenian citizen, NKR refugee Minas Sargsyan against Azerbaijan. The Armenian citizen has sued Azerbaijan over the violation of property rights, and claimed for compensation. The Armenian Government will come as the third party in “Sargsyan against Azerbaijan” case.
The case of Chiragov, a former Lachin region resident, against Armenia will be heard the same day. Armenia’s interests in the court will be defended by the RA Government Representative to the European Court, Assistant to the RA President, Gevorg Kostanyan.
Panorama.am source in the ECHR claimed the deadline for submitting facts over the case is May 15. As far as we have been informed, the Armenian Government insisted on holding open hearings in the Grand Chamber of the Court.
