Turkish companies' investments in Georgia exceed $500 million
Turkey's FM Ahmet Davutoglu and his Georgian counterpart Grigol Vashadze had a meeting in Ankara and held a joint press conference following the meeting.
Davutoglu defined Turkish-Georgian relations as "very sound strategic relations" and the two countries had close neighborly ties.Turkey and Georgia had a comprehensive economic cooperation and Turkey was the biggest trade partner of Georgia, he said, adding that Turkish companies' investments in Georgia exceeded 500 million U.S. dollars.
According to Cumhuriyet, Davutoglu said Vashadze discussed Caucasus Stability and Cooperation Platform, aiming to ensure stability, prosperity and security in the Caucasus.
Davutoglu said, Ankara would keep supporting Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum natural gas and Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway projects to promote regional cooperation.
