Azerbaijan pollutes Caspian Sea
The Chief of the Caspian Ecological Monitoring Department of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Mirsalam Gambarov, said the ministry is worried about the Caspian Sea's environment in Azerbaijan's sector. He said 31 industrial enterprises and 287 waste water sources are located on the coast (955 km long), polluting the sea, Turan reported.
Gambarov said the ministry is especially worried about the strata water management and the oil-polluted lands' rehabilitation. He also said oil flood prevention measures should be taken by the government.
