2010 GDP growth to make 4 percent in Armenia
The head of the IMF Armenian mission Mark Lewis forecasted at a press conference in Yerevan May 19 that in 2010 Armenia’s GDP growth will be 4 percent, instead of the previously predicted 2 percent. It was noted that IMF forecasted annual GDP growth to make 1,8 percent.
As far as the price increase goes, Mark Lewis said, price increase rate is falling and the index remains as IMF predicted previously – 6 percent.
Referring to the budget deficit, M. Lewis highlighted that increase of income scales can be observed this year, as compared to the previous prediction. “This will ensure lower deficit,” he said.
