European Weightlifting Junior Championships 2010: Vladik Karapetyan takes gold
European Weightlifting Junior Championships 2010 is under way in Valencia, Spain. On May 19, Armenian Vladik Karapetyan (62kg) lifted 112 kg in the snatch category and 141 kg in the clean & jerk. He won bronze in the snatch, while deserved gold in the jerk and became the champion of Europe with a total result of 253 kg, Armenian National Olympic Committee reports.
Vardan Militosyan finished 6th among 20 sportsmen with a total of 235kg (105+130). The only female Armenian sportsman Isabella Yaylyan (53kg) took silver with 163 kg (72+91).
