Winner of Eurovision 2010 to defend her title in Eurovision 2011
The winner of Eurovision 2010, Lena from Germany, will represent Germany in Eurovision 2011 as well, Stefan Raab said in an interview to journalists from the German newspaper 'Spiegel', RIA Novosti reported. Raab was Lena Meyer-Landrut's mentor. The German TV entertainer prepared Lena in the months before the Eurovision Song Contest. Raab is very proud of his protégé and asked her to defend her title next year.
“Many reporters thought I’m kidding, but I am not,” he said. According to him, there is no other option but: “The winner of European song contest should defend their title in their own country as well.”
Germany will host Eurovision 2011. Last time the country hosted the contest in 1982.
