Tbilisi’s reelected Mayor calls on opposition to cooperate
Ugulava stated his election plans and the plans of his rivals don’t differ since they could have successful cooperation.
It’s worth reminding that “National united movement” Party has won the Georgian elections.
The candidates of proportionate list are announced; the leader is “National united movement” – 82%; “Alliance for Georgia” – 17,71%, Christian-Democratic Union – 13,17%. “National council” which includes 3 opposition political forces, including Georgian former PM Zurab Nogaideli’s headed “For fair Georgia” got 9% and other candidates – 1%.
It’s worth reminding that 17 political parties were nominated, 3 of them were alliances and 9 candidates were qualified for Mayor’s elections.
Experts foresee if voted opposition candidates get united under one coalition, interesting developments are expected. But opposition leader Irakly Alasania hasn’t made any statement over his further activities.
