Exit poll. Georgian opposition defeated; ruling Mayor re-takes his office
Exit poll results, unfavorable for the Georgian opposition, have already been published in Georgia. Panorama.am reporter tells from Tbilisi the favorite of the elections is ruling mayor and candidate for the ruling “National united movement” Party Gigi Ugulava – 60,4%. The second comes opposition candifate Irakly Alasanyan – 18,1% and the third is Giorgi Chanturia – 7,3%. The latter is pro-Azerbaijani.
The survey has been committed by GfK Company ordered by Georgia’s public broadcaster. According to the survey results Gigi Ugulava again leads the elections – 58,4%. The Party, according to the survey results, is included in the city council as well – 17,2%.
Several NGO-s declared that tough infringements have been recorded during the elections, particularly the method called “carrousel” was applied, the lists included names of dead people. The observers have already recorded passive participation.
It’s supposed the Georgian Central Electoral Commission will publish preliminary results in the morning. Read Panorama.am news to find fresh information from Tbilisi.
