Joint examinations get underway in Armenia
Joint examinations got underway in Armenia today, June 1 and are due by June 23. Applicants are taking exams in Biology, General History and Geography. The supplementary stage of the exams will be held in July.
The director of the Assessment and Testing Center(ATC) Gurgen Khachatryan said this year the total number of applicants, including those from Nagorno-Karabakh reaches 17.655, while last year the figure was by 1.510 applicants more.
According to him, today 331 applicants are taking exam in Geography, 513 others in General History and 1.766 in Biology. 13 exam centers have been established in Armenia, 2others in Nagorno-Karabakh for holding the 3 exams, he said. There are 2 exam centers in Yerevan, located in schools N 2 and 195. The graduates will be given 3 hours for all 3 exams.
According to the head of the exam center of School N2, V. Piliposyan, 340 applicants were supposed to take exam in Biology in the center, while 13 are missing. They will be allowed to take the exam at the supplementary stage if their absence proves to have serious causes.
Joint exam in Armenian Language and Literature will be held June 4, Physics – June 8, Foreign Language (English, French, German, Spanish, Persian, Italian) – June 11, Maths – June 15, Armenian History and Chemistry – June 19, Russian – June 23.
