Armenia third among CIS member states for industrial production growth
Armenia is third among the CIS member states for its industrial production index, according to the Interstate Statistical Committee of the CIS, the index stands 12,9% for January-April, 2010.
Kyrgyzstan leads, with 61,3% industrial production growth as compared to the indices recorded in the country for the same period last year. The committee says, the result came due to renewed work on a total power gold mining enterprise"Kumtor".
The growth in Tajikistan makes 16%, in Ukraine 12,6%, in Kazakhstan 11,8%.
Russia recorded 6,9% industrial production growth, Belarus 6,1%, Moldova 5,5%, in Azerbaijan the index is 5,2%. The report provides no data for Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
Ukraine has the highest price index – 10,8%. The same shows 8% for Armenia. In Kazakstan the index makes 7,2%, in Russia 6,9%, in Belarus and Moldova 6,4%, in Tajikistan 5,5%, in Azerbaijan 4,4%, in Kyrgyzstan 2,7%.
