"Amnesty International" slams Azerbaijani authorities
On June 3 Amnesty International organization conducted protest action at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Moscow demanding to release journalist Eynulla Fatullayev, who is being held in prison in Baku, Turan reported.
Natalya Sergeyeva, press officer of the Amnesty International Moscow office, said that the protesters demanded immediate execution of the decision of the European Human Rights Court, which established that the journalist’s imprisonment was unfair and urged the Azerbaijani authorities to immediately free him.
The protesters also supported the bloggers Adnan Hajizada and Emin Milli detained in Azerbaijan in 2009 and being kept behind jars till now for placing video criticizing the Azerbaijani authorities on their blogs.
