Dink lawyer found dead in apartment
Hakan Karadağ, one of the co-plaintiff lawyers in the trial of journalist Hrant Dink’s assassination has been found in his Istanbul apartment hung, Vatan reported.
Once Karadağ said Hitman Ogün Samast, who killed Dink, had threatened him in the courtroom in one of the hearings.
Note that Turkish-Armenian editor, journalist and columnist of the bilingual Turkish-Armenian newspaper Agos, Hrant Dink, was assassinated in Istanbul on January 19, 2007. The killer, 17-year-old Ogün Samast, pleaded guilty at the very first examination. The state prosecutor demanded death sentence for Hrant Dink assassination organizers and committers.
Nevertheless, in 2009 Turkish court made a verdict to justify the author of the song praising Dink's assasinators. Note also that last year Istanbul City hall refused to rename Safak street adjacent to “Agos” office after Hrank Dink.
