Orange Armenia continues charity projects: modern computer center opens in Noyemberyan
Orange keeps realizing charity projects directed to community development. A modern computer center furnished with broadband Internet was opened today in Noyemberyan city of Tavush Marz with joint efforts of Orange and “Shen” charity organization in the frames of strategic partnership.
The newly opened computer center is equipped with 7 computers, printer/scanner, comfortable furniture and Orange Flybox 3G router, which will provide possibility to the residents of Noyemberyan not only be connected with the world, but also participate in computer courses, Orange Armenia press office reported.
“As a telecommunication brand, we think that in nowadays world distances are not measured by kilometers but by the time people need to be connected with each other. Now we are in one the the farthest places of Armenia, but thanks to Orange wide 3G+ network the habitants of this town can be connected with any part of the world”, said Bruno Duthoit, Orange CEO during inauguration ceremony of the computer center.
“We believe that not only the big cities are the future of Armenia, but also the small towns and villages, and talented people here shall have the same possibilities as in the capital. That’s with this philosophy that Orange has built the widest 3G+ network of Armenia, which now covers more than 85% of the population,” said Bruno Duthoit, Orange CEO.
As other projects, this project is carrying the vision of the company “together we can do more”, as it has been realized by joint efforts of Orange, Shen and the community, which will ensure its sustainability and long-term success. For implementation of this project Orange has allotted total AMD 2,344,000.
This initiative of Orange was implemented in the frames of the strategical program on support to sustainable development of remote and vulnerable communities, which aims to boost and support social and economical development of these communities and make them benefit from the technologies of 21st century.
