"Electricity could become best-exported product in the upcoming future"
The electricity produced by the small hydro-electric power stations is fully consumed in Armenia currently, the president of the union of the small hydro-electric power stations Naira Nahapetyan told reporters today.
“Electricity could become best-exported product in the upcoming future,” N. Nahapetyan said.
It’s due to the right governance policy of the government, that the hydro-electricity registers advance.
“Our country is rich in rivers, lakes, drinking waters. Today a policy is led to help us build hydro-electric power plants in all the possible locations,” she said.
She added that 18 million euros have been provided for the development of small hydro-electric power stations in the frames of the joint loan program between the Armenian government and the German KFW bank on May 26.
"The sums should be directed to the construction and reconstruction of hydro-electric power stations,” she said.
