Boxing: Froch could fight Abraham in Canada
Former WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (26-1, 20 KO’s) has ruled out another two countries where he doesn’t want to fight his next Super Six tournament opponent Arthur Abraham. Froch now doesn’t want to fight Abraham in Monaco or Poland. Froch has already said he didn’t want to fight Abraham in Germany.
“The next fight is all or nothing for me. I’m only going to fight on my terms. I won’t be pushed around this time. I won’t be going anywhere east of Nottingham to fight. I don’t mind Canada but I not going to Poland or Monaco. And I’m not fighting in Berlin – there’s no chance of getting a verdict there.”
Speaking about his 12 round decision loss to Mikkel Kessler in his stage 2 part of the Super Six tournament, Froch says “My preparation was shot to pieces. I didn’t have my usual sharpness. I had Kessler hurt in the 5th and usually I would have finished it off. But the energy and aggression weren’t there. I know how to win,” Boxingscene quoted Froch as saying.
