External pupil not allowed to joint exam
Joint exams in Foreign Languages (English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Persian) are being held today in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. 33 exam centers have been formed in the republic, Nagorno-Karabakh has 2, the director of the Assessment and Testing Center (ATC) Gurgen Khachatryan told reporters today. The exams will take 2,5 hours.
The head of the exam center located in Yerevan State Medical University Astgik Avetyan said about 220 applicants have been registered in the center, 15 are missing.
An external pupil, Vahan Simonyan, was not allowed to the exam after the ATC received a call from the Education and Science Ministry over Vahan Simonyan external school-graduation.
Note that this year Armenian Education and Science Minister banned external school-graduation.
According to G. Khachatryan, there are 39 external schoolchildren this year in the republic and the minister has banned their participation in the joint exams. “All of them had been warned about this and were urged not to come to the exam, and if they did come, we have to not allow them into the exam center,” he said.
