New "Star" chain supermarket opens in Yerevan
New “Star” supermarket has opened at Tumanyan-Nalbandian crossroads, Yerevan. This is the 14th Star chain store, 4th in the center of the city. It is a small format, self-service store.
The executive director of “Star” chain store Vahan Kerobyan told reporters that a number of modern technologies, like self-service scale, have been invested into the store.
Besides, for the first time in Armenia a special machine will be used to specify the price of the goods if there is no price label.
“This year we are planning to open several more small stores, including two in Ajapnyak and Arabkir communities,” he said.
Before the opening, the store was blessed by Priest Shmavon Gevondyan. A number of officials, guests were attending the opening ceremony.
