12-15% growth is expected in the sphere of construction this year, Armenian Urban Planning Minister Vardan Vardanyan told reporters today, highlighting that forecasts are based on the actual scales of works being implemented currently.

“As compared to last year, considerable growth will be recorded. This year 12-15% growth is expected as compared to last year,” he said.

Referring to the private investments in the sphere of construction, he said a 20 mln. AMD-agreement has been reached over making investments in the regions of Kotayk and Syunik, another agreement on making investment worth 10 mln. AMD for Yerevan has been scheduled.

“In terms of investments this year is active, we are conducting serious work in this direction, there is quite big interest in the sphere of construction, I want to say that investments will considerably increase as compared to the previous year,” the Minister said.
