Tuesday morning a leading Azerbaijani news agency published information on court hearings in the European Court of Human Rights, not yet launched at the time of publishing and to be held in accordance with the claim of Armenia’s citizen Ashot Harutyunyan. The latter died in 2009.

What is most remarkable here is not the issue itself, but the information published by a website, under the patronage of Azerbaijani President’s administration, on the outcome of a non-investigated case: “June 15: European Court to make a verdict against Armenia”.

Actually, Azerbaijan managed to get to be of interest to several European judges, a thing which could provide opportunity for not only moving forward the interests of the administration-in-office, but also for obtaining information on the verdict prior to the court hearings.
