Armenia’s economy gradually recovering: Aristomene Varudakis
Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan received today the head of the World Bank Yerevan office Aristomene Varudakis on the occasion of ending his tenure in Armenia, NA press office reported. The Speaker thanked Mr. Varudakis for the efficient cooperation, highly assessing his activity in Armenia.
The head of WB Yerevan office described the cooperation as mutually beneficial and said that it launched when Hovik Abrahamyan was Deputy Prime Minister, Territorial Administration Minister and added that joint active and effective work has been carried out especially in the provinces over healthcare program.
The interlocutors also referred to the financial-economic crisis and its impact on Armenia. Hovik Abrahamyan highlighted WB’s assistance to Armenia’s anti-crisis programs. Aristomene Varudakis responded that Armenia’s economy is gradually recovering though the basic challenges still exist.
The parties also referred to the regional issues.
