Armenian Center for National and International Studies (ACNIS) will screen July 1 at 12 pm a new documentary in English featuring the pogroms and violence against the Armenians carried out in Azerbaijan in February, 1988. The producer of the film, renowned journalist Marina Grigoryan will comment on the English version of the film.

ACNIS is screening the 55-minute film to provide new evidences about anti-Armenian violence in Sumgait, according to ACNIS press office. The screening is also an appeal to the international community to recognize the crimes against humanity.

This is the second film in “An Ordinary Genocide” film series, initiated by the PR and Information Center” of the Armenian President’s Administration.

The first film “Baku, January, 1990” was screened in January this year. It has been translated into several languages and was spread in the internet and through DVDs.
